Arambol (Harmal/Hormola) is one of the few remote beaches of Goa. Its a beautiful beach and a peaceful village. Most of the foreigners who visit this beach is because of its very quite and peaceful. Arambol is basically a fishing village. There are a few guest houses and many people gives their houses or part of their houses on rent to the tourists. The main beach is a nice place to swim. If one moves further north along the beach coast there is a fresh water lake lake just below the hill. People usually have a sea bath, followed by a mud bath at the stream above the lake (its said to have healing effect for the skin) and followed by a bath at the fresh water lake.The are quite a number of beach shacks and guests houses at Arambol. To the north of Arambol is the keri/querim beach. To the south its the Mandrem beach.
