Miramar beach is the closest beach to Panjim. It lies 3 kilometers from the city and about 1-kilometer ahead of the convergence of the Arabian Sea and the Mandovi River. Its not one of the most scenic beaches of Goa, but it is one of the most frequented beaches of Goa as its closest to the capital of Goa, Panaji. There is a statue at the roundabout at the entrance to the beach depicting the Hindu and Christian unity. The beach has fine silvery sand, which makes it ideal for taking long walks and soaking up the sun. Its is visited by people who come to relax in the evenings after a days work. You can see many people take morning and evening walks here. The beach hosts a lot of cultural events and games. there are a lot of good restaurants and lodging facilities here. The Club Gasper Dias is situated here. The Dona Paula beach is situated at a distace of 4 kilometers from Miramar Beach.
Location: North Goa, 6 kilometers from Panjim. The closest railway station is Karmali.
